E14 Gallery 

Oakland, CA November 2018
In the heart of Old Oakland, E14 Gallery has graciously hosted Taped Metal Canvas for the last year leading to a collaborative opportunity. When the gallery experienced a move to a new location, Dominic was asked to design tape art on the hard wood floor and a reflective sign for the storefront.

Public Art @ Mercury Cafe Parklet

Octavia & Page St- San Francisco, CA
Creating more public art is a goal for Taped Metal Canvas, and when this parklet volunteered this space for a reflective Taped Metal Canvas, Dominic rated this firework inspired piece for the 100,000s of drivers that roll through this busy street/highway exit. 

Amandalynn / TMC Collaboration: Kaaboo DelMar 2018

After two years of successful Kaaboo DelMar festivals, an opportunity to collaborate with Art Director and talented artist, Amandalynn  and a few of her prints on metal canvases. Each print is on aluminum and has been accented with reactive Taped Metal Canvas elements to offer a new piece with both artists techniques coming together to create a new masterpiece.

RESPECT: Hip -Hop Style and Wisdom
Oakland Museum of California (OMCA)
Custom Chess Board 

March-August 2018 
When founder of Hip Hop Chess Federation (HHCF) and curator for the exhibit-RESPECT: Hip -Hop Style and Wisdom, Adisa Banjoko, asked for a custom chess board to compliment the exhibit at OMCA- Taped Metal Canvas was happy to oblige.  This board is inspired by Bruce Lee, Kill Bill and martial arts- with the birds eye view of the temple illuminating when the flash hits it.  This piece was utilized for the special events surrounding the exhibit and HHCF. 

Broken Record: San Francisco
Custom Mural for Bar Restaurant 

March 2018,  It was a wonderful surprise and pleasure to work on updating the restaurant at Broken Record, in our old  neighborhood- Excelsior District in San Francisco.  This project was the first for Taped Metal Canvas to explore mixing his spray paint skills and reflective tape effect.  The experience combining these two mediums proved to be successful in covering a large space quickly and enhancing with accents for that pop, that taped metal canvas is known for.

Noche de Estrellas: San Diego Museum of Art:
​Custom Tape Art Table Design

October 18, 2017- Taped Metal Canvas accepts a commission for "Noche de las Estrellas, an enchanted evening in honor of the Pérez Simón family celebrating the luminaries of Latin American art" at the SDMART.  This project consisted of designing a collection of 12 designs  for 4 foot by 8 foot tables for the gala event.  Using Latin American art as inspiration to the lines styles and color choices- Dominic created a beautiful foundation to create a gorgeous tablescapes. 

Sculpture and Cocktails: San Diego Museum of Art: Photo Experience

JUNE 28, 2017 Taped Metal Canvas accepts an invitation from SDMART to participate in the closing celebration for Richard Deacon's Exhibit.  Dominic created a 7'x7' reflective piece to be he shared for the event's  photo booth experience. ​

Screaming Hand 30th
Anniversary

2016 marked the 30th Anniversary of Jim Phillips' Screaming Hand image for Santa Cruz Skateboards.  There were numerous shows throughout the U.S and international. Taped Metal Canvas participated in the Los Angeles show at 7th Letter.  The piece sold and was also selected for the closing show at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History in August 2016.

The People's Table

April 2015, October 2016, June 2017

Taped Metal Canvas is collaborating with a group of San Francisco natives to create public ping pong tables to foster community building and promote public art.  Taped Metal Canvas is one of the artist designers and responsible for the taped metal bases. This is part of the Market Street Prototype Festival in San Francisco. More info on this project at www.thepeoplestable.org

After the success at the Prototype Festival, The Peoples Table collective went on to create additional public art ping ping tables in San Francisco: SF Playland in the Sunset District and Boedekker Park in the Tenderloin. 

Pro Tapes- England

June 2015
In the Spring of 2015, Reliable Source and Pro Tapes - Tape companies reached out to share Taped Metal Canvas creations at London's Stationary week convention.  The display served as a creative visual to demonstrate the wide variety of creative uses with tape.
